Thinking about what to have for breakfast the night before? If you whip this up before you go to bed, you can easily pop this in the oven the next morning and have a comforting, warm breakfast. Drizzle it with milk and have a piece of fruit and you’re good to go! Don’t be afraid to get creative and add in anything you want, like dried fruit, nuts, or even chocolate-covered raisins!
Overnight Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- Whisk the egg in a bowl, and then add the rest of the ingredients, stirring well to combine. Spoon into a 8×8 inch greased oven dish, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, take the prepared oats out of the fridge and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180C)
- Place oats in oven and bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy on top. Cut into slices and serve warm with milk.
